The McQuade Holiday Benefit Auction Committee invites creative contributions to its 21st Annual benefit auction to be held at McQuade Children’s Services, Route 94, New Windsor, on Saturday, November 20. So far, donations include four days at Disney’s Magic Kingdom with airfare and hotel, a week in Hilton Head, S.C. with golf and tennis, one year’s membership at Sportsplex, dinners at fine restaurants, ski passes, Hudson River cruises, fine art, ice skating, karate and sky diving. The Committee’s "wish list" for additional items includes a new or used car or year’s lease on a car, estate jewelry, fur coat, balloon flights, Broadway tickets, voice lessons, frequent flyer miles, gift baskets, and children’s parties. All donations are tax-deductible.
Preview begins at 7 pm featuring music by the captivating 11-year-old virtuoso violinist, Robert Gupta. The auction begins at 8 pm with auctioneer Mark Vail, a favorite among auction-goers in the region. Admission is 2/$15 or $10 a seat. Businesses and individuals are invited to promote their businesses or good will in the Auction Ad Journal, a program that lists all items up for bid. Ad rates range from $25-$125. Hundreds of area residents flock to this festive event each year. All proceeds benefit McQuade’s comprehensive programs for special needs children and their families throughout the Hudson Valley.
