A team from the Haldane Faculty Association will join the fight against breast cancer on October 17th by walking in "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer", a pledge walk at Manhatanville College, Purchase, for the American Cancer Society.
Deb Peterson, who is putting together the HFA "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" team, has eight people signed on for a day of "fun raising" for an important cause, to mark October National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The HFA team includes, Julie Russell, Alison Casey, Tom Casey, Deb Schuller, Nancy Belluscio, Lisa Maher, Barb Conley and Deb Peterson.
Approximately 12,016 New York women will be diagnosed with breast cancer and 3,600 women will die from this disease along.. Every dollar raised through "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" helps fund scientific research on the causes of breast cancer and provides community outreach and education efforts.
