No, it wasn’t Cecil B. DeMille filming in Cold Spring last Thursday. It was Charlie Cornacchio and his assistant, Lisa Gauzza, of Phoenix Productions, based in Wappingers Falls. They were filming twenty-two Philipstown businesses for a series of commercials that will be televised on the cable outlets, A&E, CNN and the Discovery Channel in late November.
The Putnam County Visitors’ Bureau is helping fund the project under its theme, "Come to Where the Country Begins."
Among the businesses taking part are restaurants, inns, Main Street shops and Boscobel. The commercials will be broadcast to encourage people to visit Cold Spring as the Christmas season gets underway.
