Millennium Celebration Free And Open To All People
A Spiritual Community Celebration is scheduled for Sunday, December 31st from 4 pm to 5:30 pm at the Chuang Yen Monastery located on Rt 301 in Kent. The Free celebration honors our spiritual diversity and is open to adults and children of all ages and faiths. This event is sponsored by the Spiritual Millennium Committee composed of representatives of various spiritual beliefs.
The early evening performance will include the Putnam Chorale, songwriter John Farrell, Native American Sacred Dance and Drumming and mystical Bagpipe music. Some of the performances include audience participation for both young and adult.
This year’s chairperson, Biagio Conti said "We were amazed at the number of people who attended last year’s event. There is growing number of truth seekers who want to transcend religious differences. What better way than to get together no matter what faith and share our common spiritual background through music and dance."
