Searching For Owls And The Hudson River Programs At Stony Kill
Can owls see in complete darkness to find their prey? How do owls fly so noiselessly through the night? Learn the answers to these questions and other interesting facts about owls and their adaptations when you attend an Owl Prowl on Friday, December 15 at 5 pm, at Stony Kill Farm Environmental Education Center. After an interesting lecture, using life-sized owl mounts, participants will learn about the role these nighttime hunters play in the environment. Be prepared to accompany a naturalist into the night on Stony Kill’s trails and "call-in" an owl who might be hunting nearby. To participate in this program please phone the Center at (845) 831-8780, ext 300. Pre-registration is required for this free program.
