Cold Spring Lions Install Four New Members
"It’s for the first in over 30 years that we have installed this many new members at one time" said Victor Carlson, Membership Chairman of the Cold Spring Lions Club.
On November 27th the Club celebrated the installation of Carol Kniffen and Lorraine Longobardi, sponsored by Linda Mackey, and Patricia Nichter and Robert Watahovich, sponsored by Anne Nichter. (Daniel Hughes, sponsored by Betty Budney was called away on business, and will be installed at his next meeting.)
The Lions Club was honored to have Ron Delo, The District Governor perform the installation ceremonies, and the new members have already signed up for service duties for the holiday season.
The lions Club traditionally sponsors a Senior Citizen Christmas Party, bell ringing for the Salvation Army and the preparation and delivery of Christmas Baskets. The Haldane Leo Club under the guidance of Lion Bruce Campbell will be contributing the time of its members as well, to these activities.
