A trio of troublesome realities surfaced following the special Garrison School Board meeting convened to deal with the projected $800,000 in excess costs over what the public had approved for school addit

     (1) There are questions that the public should not ask and, if asked, do not have to be answered; (2) The belief by some board members and their supporters that the end justifies the means even if it means breaking the law; (3) A double standard of conduct encouraged by the presiding president.
