Auto Drive To Kick Off Putnam’s United Way Annual Campaign Drive

Keep your eyes on the road on Sunday morning, September 9th , because there will be a different "spin" of the wheels of the old-fashioned car shows. Instead of the owners simply parking their classic or exotic cars for people walking by to admire, United Way of Putnam’s first-ever Awesome Auto Road Rally will have the autos driving along main roads throughout eastern Putnam County - so you can see them in motion!

The autos entered in the rally will begin at Fisher Bros. Chevrolet in Mahopac at 9:30am, and then stop at various sponsor checkpoints along the route, concluding their road rally/scenic drive at Veteran’s Memorial Park, Gipsy Trail Road., Kent, at about 11am.

If you miss them en route, the general public is invited free to come and get a closer look at these awesome autos at the county park in Kent and vote for their favorites. Food and beverage will be available from 11:30am -1:30pm.

This special event officially marks the beginning of United Way of Putnam’s annual fundraising efforts to assist individuals and families in need in our community through a network of supported local health and human services.

For more information, or to register your own awesome auto in the road rally, please call United Way at (845) 225-9316 by Friday, September 7.
