Before Henry Hudson: The Lenape

Mount Gulian Historic Site presents a program on the Lenape Native American People on Sunday, October 7th at, 1:30pm.

The Lenape lived in the Hudson Valley and at the Mount Gulian site for thousands of years before Henry Hudson’s voyage on the Half Moon. Anthropologist and author, Dr. David Oestreicher, talks about their culture and discusses the soon to be released book, The Lenape (Delaware) Heritage, written by the late Herbert C. Kraft.

A tour of the house, garden and Dutch barn is available at the conclusion of the program. Admission to the program and tour is $3.00/adult and $2.00/child. There is no charge for Mount Gulian members.
