Franciscan Friars To Hold Annual Procession And Blessing Of The Animals
The Franciscan Friars of the Atonement will hold their annual Procession and Blessing of the Animals on Sunday, September 30th at Graymoor in Garrison.
Commemorating St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals whose feast day is October 4, a Procession of the Animals and an interfaith blessing will take place outdoors on September 30th at 3pm. Sunday Mass will be celebrated in Pilgrim Hall at 11am.
This event is free and open to the public. There will be demonstrations, exhibits, and vendors from 12:00 to 3pm. Picnic facilities are also available.
The Franciscan Friars of the Atonement, headquartered at Graymoor in Garrison, New York, is a Roman Catholic religious order with pastoral, social, and ecumenical ministries on three continents.
Graymoor is located in Garrison, New York on Route 9, five miles north of Peekskill and thirteen miles south of I-84.
