Jane G. "Peg" Knapp

Jane G. "Peg" Knapp age 82 of Nelsonville, NY died on Thursday September 20, 2001 at her residence.

Born in Cold Spring, NY on April 3, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Harold B. and Mary (Austin) Garrison.

Mrs. Knapp was a homemaker, a very active member of the United Methodist Church of Cold Spring having belonged to numerous groups within the Church, and a former Cub Scout Leader, member of: the Women of the Manhattan Project, the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Nelsonville Fire Co., of AARP, of the Philipstown Little League, and the Haldane Central School PTA.

She was predeceased by her husband Douglas G. Knapp he died in August of 1996; she is survived by two sons, Peter B. Knapp of Fishkill, NY and Thomas J. Knapp of Cold Spring, NY, one brother, William Garrison of Cortlandt Manor, NY, one sister, Mary Troskowsky of Yonkers, NY, four grandchildren also survive, Douglas, Susan, Aileen and Emily Knapp. Mrs. Knapp was predeceased by one son, Douglas Knapp and by one brother Milton Garrison.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday September 4, 2001 at Cold Spring Cemetery at 1:00pm. Under the direction of the Clinton Funeral Home, Cor Parrott and Pine St. Cold Spring, NY.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Mrs. Knapp’s name the United Methodist Church of Cold Spring Main St. Cold Spring, NY or to Hospice of Northern Westchester and Putnam Counties Inc., 100 South Bedford Rd. Mt. Kisco, NY 10549.
