Sympathies Extended To Dr. Di Natale

Editor,

On behalf of the Board of Trustees for the Haldane School Foundation, I would like to extend our deepest sympathies to Dr. John Di Natale and his family on the tragic loss of their son, Kristofer. As colleagues, friends, and community members, we offer our hearts and thoughts to them during this time of extreme pain.

The Haldane School Foundation was scheduled to host a charity Haldane Heroes vs. Harlem Wizards basketball game to benefit The American Red Cross and our First Annual Harvest Ball Dinner Dance this past Saturday November 10th. It was to be a joyous day, celebrating Haldane’s Heroes - past and present - as well as, a fundraiser to enhance our children’s educational opportunities.

Out of respect for Dr. Di Natale and his family, we unanimously agreed to postpone both the Wizards game and The Harvest Ball to another time when we could all come together and enjoy its true intent. Both events have now been rescheduled and confirmed. The Harvest Ball will become The Snow Ball on Saturday, January 5th and The Wizards game will take place on Saturday, February 9th. Reservations for the Harvest Ball and tickets for the Wizards’ basketball game will be honored on their new dates. But for those who cannot come on those dates, please call me at 845-265-6524.

Exhibiting the utmost sympathy and compassion, The Inn Credible Caterers, the Harlem Wizards, The Satellite Connection, Haldane’s staff and Philipstown’s Recreation Department were all extremely accommodating in changing the dates for both events.

During the past few months and in times like these we’re constantly reminded of life’s treasures and how quickly things can change. May the warmth of our community bring solace to the Di Natale’s and to us all.

Joe Curto,

Haldane School Foundation Vice President and Event Co-Organizer
