Van-Go Visits Haldane School District
Van-Go, The blue bus that is Carmel Central School District’s Mobile Museum, was once again parked in the Haldane Circle. This year, students in grades four through six toured the exhibit ‘ Rivers, Roads and Rails: Movin’ Through Putnam. The exhibition was about the social and economic impact of early transportation in Putnam County. This collaborative effort by the Putnam County Historical Society and the Van-Go Committee focused on old roads and turnpikes and the growing importance of the railroad.
