CYO Launches Revamp The Camp Program

The CYO J. V. Mara Camps, situated on 250 acres in Putnam Valley, will launch their annual Revamp The Camp program at 9 am on May 4th.

Several hundred corporate executives, employees, and other volunteers will forego their normal business attire, and darn boots, work gloves, dungarees and tee shirts to work on projects ranging from building an animal and vegetable farm to painting and repairing cabins, a kitchen, lodge, theater, Arts Center, sports shed, pool, and a 30 foot high Adventure Tower.

These volunteers from organizations like MasterCard, Marriott, Mahopac National Sank, International Paper Co., ITA Strategies, Albertus Magnus, Holy Spirit Parish, New Cannon High School, Sea Cadets, Challenger Program and Beacon Correctional are spending their free time so over 1,100 kids from all walks of life can spend an educational, spiritual, and fun summer participating in a Day Camp, Resident Camp, Little Heroes Camp, Friendship Ambassadors, St. Vincent DePaul Camp, or other exciting adventure instead of looking for something to do on their city streets.
