Sportello Is NY State Pageant Finalist
Miss Esther Sportello, age 12, daughter of Annmarie and Peter Sportello, has been chosen as a State Finalist in the Miss New York American Pre-Teen Pageant to be held on August 17 and 18, 2002 at the New York Marriot Marquis in New York City.
The pageant is held for girls ages 10 through 12. The winner of the pageant will receive a $1,000 cash award, the official crown and banner, roses and air transportation to compete in the national pageant at Walt Disney World in Florida.
Miss Sportello’s activities include girl scouting, figure skating and horse-back riding. She has worked on the Putnam Valley Middle School Blood Drive and fundraising for St. Jude’s Hospital.
