Seventh Annual Tour de Putnam Cycling Festival to be Held Aug. 24

The Annual Tour de Putnam Cycling Festival, will be back again this year for the 7th time on August 24th. The event, to be held rain or shine, will take place at the Putnam County Veterans Memorial Park, Gipsy Trail Rd, in Carmel.

Designed by cyclists for cyclists this event features 15, 30, 50 and 100 mile routes throughout scenic and historic Putnam County as well as mountain bike loops.

The Festival will offer Full SAG support, clearly marked, color coded routes, easy to follow cue sheets, ChampionChip automatic timing system to those who wish them. Bike mechanics will also be available. In addition, to help promote the safety and health of the riders, route sweeps will be done, medical support will be standing by, and for those not used to the stress of riding, complimentary massages will be provided.

Volunteers are still needed to the event. If you would like to volunteer, please contact the Putnam Visitors Bureau at 225-0381.

Pre-Registration is $20.00 Same day registration $25.00. All who register will receive a t-shirt and a picnic lunch. No children under the age of 12 are permitted to enter the race. Food and water stations will be are open from 8:30-3:00 on the day of the Festival.
