Challenger Center Runs Moon Mission
Crew will be home for dinner!
The Lower Hudson Valley Challenger Center will run a public mission to the moon - but its civilian astronaut crew will be back in time for Sunday dinner.
The "trip," geared for families and individuals interested in learning and experiencing more about space flight, will be Sunday, August 15 from 2 pm to 5 pm. The cost is $20 per person, age 10 and over. The 3-hour mission will include a brief training and orientation session in preparation for "flying" on its simulated mission control and spacecraft. Public missions provide an opportunity for families to learn the importance of working together as a team to achieve a common goal.
For reservations and information phone 845-357-3416 or email: director@lhvcc.com. Monthly missions will be scheduled for the third Sunday in the month. Space is limited.
