St. Christopher’s Inn Staff Met with Congresswoman Kelly

Fr. Bernard Palka, SA, CEO and Marianne Taylor-Rhoades, Director of Operations at St. Christopher's Inn met with U.S. Representative, Sue Kelly (center) in Washington D.C.

As part of the Paths to Recovery grant funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in recognition of their standard of excellence for addiction treatment, St. Christopher’s Inn participated in a Project Connect Conference, providing non-profit agencies an opportunity to meet one-to-one with their legislators in Washington DC. Paths to Recovery is a $9.5 million initiative of the RWJF designed to improve the organizational processes that facilitate patient access to and retention in addiction treatment programs. The mission of Paths to Recovery is to help providers make more efficient use of their treatment capacity and to encourage ongoing improvements in treatment access and retention throughout the addiction treatment field.

During the July 2004 meeting, Representative Kelly expressed support for the Inn’s programs and work. St. Christopher’s Inn is a ministry of the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement.
