Cold Spring Lions Meet and Donate to Vacation Camp for the Blind
At the July 19 meeting of the Cold Spring Lions Club, the group inducted two new members - Kelly Rizzi sponsored by Lion Betty Budney, and Helen Hoffman sponsored by Lion Anne Nichter. The induction ceremony was conducted by Membership Chairman Bruce Campbell and the inductees were greeted warmly by all the members.
The guest speaker for the evening was Jessica Moskin from Vacation Camp for the Blind who is Assistant Camp Director for the summer and coordinator to all the Clubs during off-season, traveling to club meetings and giving information about the camp’s purpose and activities. August 1st 2004 was Lion’s Day at the Camp and all were invited to visit and enjoy a barbecue. The Annual "Work Days" will be scheduled where club members come to the Camp and work on maintenance. At the end of her discussion Ms. Moskin was presented with a $1,000.00 check from the Club for the camp.
