Margaret A. "Peggy" DeRonda

Margaret A. "Peggy" DeRonda, 56, of Lakeside Ave., Malta, NY, passed away Sunday August 1, 2004 at Memorial Hospital in Albany with her loving family and friends at her side. Born in Cold Spring April 18, 1948, she was daughter of the late Dominick and Margaret LeMon Dahlia. She attended Haldane Central School and was a graduate of Newburgh High School. Peggy had been employed by the Durham Bus Co. in Albany as a bus monitor. Prior to that she had been employed at the Teresian House and University Heights Nursing Home as a nurses aid in Albany as well as having worked in the cafeteria at Haldane School. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Lorretta Church in Cold Spring.

She is mother of Robert M. DeRonda III and his wife Paulette of Middletown, NY and Kelly Ann DeRonda of Malta, NY. She is sister of Edward J. Dahlia of Cold Spring, Roger W. Dahlia of Wappingers Falls, Barbara A. Ford, Donald M. Dahlia, Mary A. Scalpi all of Cold Spring and Michael J. Dahlia of Poughkeepsie and the late Douglas J. Dahlia and David T. Dahlia. She is also survived by a grandchild, Cheyenne O. DeRonda, and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial mass will be offered on Saturday, August 7 at 10 am at Our Lady of Lorretto Church in Cold Spring. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St., Waterford, NY 12188.
