Hudson Valley Hospital Center Hosts AMBA Healthfair at The Medical Center at Cold Spring

Area residents came out last Saturday morning for the annual AMBA Health Fair at The Medical Center at Cold Spring. New this year, was the opportunity to talk to health professinals about the risks of stroke. Stroke education included a self-risk assessment test, how to recognize the signs of stroke, and what to do if someone is having a stroke. Wallet-size healthcare proxy cards were also distributed free. Close to 100 people turned out for the event and took advantage of low-cost blood tests and colo-rectal kits for colon cancer screening. Refreshments were served and everyone received a free give-away.
