Accident in Cold Spring Sends Two to Hospital

At approximately 8:10 am on Wednesday, May 18, the Cold Spring Police and Fire Departments responded to a two car accident on Rt. 9D just south of the Foodtown Supermarket in the Village of Cold Spring. Upon arrival, the two cars were found to have collided in a head-on manner. The drivers of the vehicles, Eilleen Duffy and Elizabeth Maurer, both of Cold Spring were injured. One driver needed to extricated from her vehicle and was then transported to St. Francis hospital in Poughkeepsie by Philipstown Volunteer Ambulance Corps. and Alamo Paramedics. The other driver was taken to Hudson Valley Medical Center by a relative.
No summonses were issued at the scene.
