PVHS National Honor Society Inductions for 2005
The Putnam Valley High School (PVMS) chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) inducted its third group of members, twenty-nine eleventh graders on Wednesday evening, May 18th at the Performing Arts Center in Putnam Valley High School (PVHS). In a dignified ceremony led by Putnam Valley High School Principal, Raymond Cooper, the students were encouraged to pursue the NHS principles of Scholarship, Character, Service and Leadership.
The Welcome Speaker was current National Honor Society President Nicholas Albano, a PVHS senior. Keynote Speakers for the evening were Mr. Gary Tutty, Superintendent of Schools, and Mr. Cooper, who provided the Welcome and the Opening Remarks; as well as PVHS junior inductees Alexandra Legrady, who spoke on Scholarship; Gregory Kroohs, who spoke on Character; Jessica Brothers, who spoke on Character; and Maggie Chesnut, who spoke on Leadership.
Members of the PVHS National Honor Society Faculty Committee are Mrs. Regina Albano; Mrs. Linda Cefaloni; Mrs. Jerri Cohen; Mr. Vincent DeGregorio; and Ms. Lisa Penta.
The 2003 PVHS NHS inductees are: Daisy Barbecho, Jessica Brothers, Maggie Chesnut, Kerry Christopher, Ryan Finnerty, Andrea Gentile, Perry Geyer, Ezra Jerome, Samantha Kennelly, Katelyn Kenny, Gregory Kroohs, Cecilia Lefurgy, Alexandra Legrady, Julissa Llosa, Pamela Matuszewski, Melinda McLaughlin, Stephanie Mejias, Peter Noyer, Molly Parzen, Kerry Lynne Pattie, Danielle Paulson, Kyrstyn Petrucelli, Mia Pozzanghera, Nicole Ricapito, Michelle Scott, Jennifer Taylor, Sheree Torregrosa, Michael Whalen and Heather Whitaker.
