A big dumb guy goes absolutely ape over a blonde, setting himself up for the fall of all-time. "One of the finest adventure movies ever made and the true prototype for all monster movies to follow,
King Kong is, even after 83 years, the one
true ruler of high-end escapist cinema" (Scott Weinberg). "In much the same manner as The Wizard of Oz and It's a Wonderful Life, it long ago entered into the national consciousness as an enduring part of our heritage" (Creative Loafing).
"Lays a claimstill!to being the Eighth Wonder of the World" (Channel 4 Film).
King Kong will be given a free screening on Sunday, April 20 at 3pm at the Paramount Center in Peekskill. There are no advance tickets for this event. Admission will be on a first-come first-served basis. Doors open at approximately
