Michael Olshakoski, age 76, of Cold Spring, died on May 4, 2000 at Hudson Valley Hospital in Cortlandt Manor, NY.
Mr. Olshakoski was born in Yonkers on September 20, 1923 to Andrew and Teresa Olshakoski. He had lived in the area for 20 years. He was a painter at Chelsea Ridge, Wappingers Falls. He was a veteran of the US Army, 1942-1947. On October 21, 1944 he married Rose Tucci in Yonkers. She survives at home.
Other survivors include a son, Michael I. Olshakoski of Cold Spring; sisters Mary Schmitz of Florida and Helen Sansone of Yonkers; brothers John Olshakoski of Yonkers and Andrew Olshakoski of Stony Point; and grandchildren Scott and Lisa Marie Ludwig of Fields, NY.
Funeral services were held at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, Jackson St., Fishkill on Monday, May 8, 2000. Interment followed in Cold Spring Cemetery.
Joseph W. Mann
Joseph W. Mann, 30 year resident of Garrison, died on Saturday, May 6, 2000 in New York City. For many years, he was head of Public Relations at Helena Rubenstein, and throughout his career, worked for various other fashion and cosmetic companies. He also volunteered at local and city hospitals. Services took place in his hometown, Cordele, Georgia on Tuesday, May 9, 2000.
