Dominick A. Dirito

Dominick A. Dirito, a long-time resident of Cold Spring, died Friday, June 16, 2000 at Hudson Valley Hospital Center in Cortlandt at the age of 92.

Born on March 5, 1908 in Yonkers, he was the son of the late Donato and Philomina Julian Santivenere. He was predeceased by his wife, the late Julia U. Scalzo Dirito, on July 28, 1999.

Mr. Dirito was an electrician for the NY Central R.R. Harmon yards, retiring in the early 1970’s. He was also a 75-year member of the Cold Spring Fire Co. #1, a parishioner of Our Lady of Loretto Church, a member of the K of C Loretto Council #536, and a member of the Cold Spring Boat Club.

Survivors include two brothers, Fred Santivenere of Cold Spring and Albert Santivenere of Pennsylvania, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services took place at the funeral home on Monday, June 19, 2000 at 1pm. Interment followed in the family plot in Cold Spring Cemetery, under the direction of the Clinton Funeral Home, Cold Spring.
