Tompkins Corners Strawberry Festival Sells Out
Last Saturday, June 24th, the Strawberry Festival held at Tompkins Corners Methodist Church in Putnam Valley once again put on the "red" and served up a berry-filled day of strawberries to all comers. The plan was to pick more than 300 pounds of strawberries at Secor Farms in Wappingers Falls, but the count fell short due to the recent precipitation. The rains however, did not dampen the enthusiasm of the volunteers and festival goers. Vendors set up a mini-flea market and visitors sampled the delicious strawberry creations.
