15th Annual Silhouettes Program At Boscobel
One of the few highly skilled profile cutters in the country, Sally Newcomb, itinerant artist, brings a bit of traditional Americana to Boscobel on July 27, 28, 29, and 30, from 10 am to 5 pm. This is the fifteenth year that Ms. Newcomb comes to Boscobel to describe and demonstrate her draw-and-cut technique, one of the actual methods of 18th and 19th-century "shade making." She can produce a full figure or a group silhouette portrait, and will also do pets if leashed.
