Car And Deer Are A Calamitous Combination On New York Highways
Deer can be a deadly and costly driving hazard, says the New York Insurance Association (NYIA). Last year motorists in New York state reported more than 10,000 deer/auto collisions. But many more such accidents are never reported to authorities. Cornell University reports that six deers are hit by vehicles for every car-killed deer reported by a motorist.
