Estelle & Alfonso’s Gymnastic Coach Invited
To France
Estelle & Alfonso’s rhythmic gymnastic coach, Kristen Sheetz, has been invited to be a part of the international meet in France.
For the last 25 years, Corbeil-Esonnes, France has hosted this international meet, where athletes of national standing from all different countries, are able to compete. Hundreds of gymnasts participate in this "tournoi" each year in hopes of capturing the title. This year the winner will stand as the 26th Corbeil-Esonnes Grand Prix Champion."
Traveling alongside several USA athletes competing in the Corbeil Championships, USA Gymnastics has recommended two national qualified coaches to attend. These coaches, Galina Burns and Elena Savenkova, will be choreographing the new Rhythmic Gymnastics Junior Olympic Compulsory Programs for the Year 2001. They have invited Kirsten Sheetz, rhythmic gymnastics head coach for Estelle & Alfonso, to accompany them. Kirsten was raised in France, where she received her rhythmic training.
Estelle & Alfonso are proud to announce that Kirsten Sheetz is the coach for the year 2000 Level 7 Junior New York State Champion, Leslie Quade, and the Level 6 Junior New York State Silver Medalist, Brittany Smith. Both girls competed at the regionals in early April and qualified for the Rhythmic Gymnastics National Coaches Classic, held in Atlanta, Georgia.
Miss Kirsten, as she is called at Estelle & Alfonso’s Performing Arts Complex, will resume her rhythmic gymnastics classes upon her return from France. Enrollment for her summer rhythmic classes has just begun.
