Haldane Board Of Ed Begins Budget Meetings For 2001-02 Facilities budget includes some items cited in recent building conditions survey
The proposed transportation budget for 2001-02 indicates an increase of approximately $30,000. The Transportation Department is requesting a new vehicle to replace Wheelchair Van #46. This vehicle is permanently out of service as recommended by the DOT pending major repairs. The replacement vehicle being requested is a 24-passenger vehicle that is equipped to accommodate up to three wheelchairs with minimum servicing. The conversion can be done by the school mechanic, which has been cleared with the DOT. Should there be no need for wheelchair use, the van can be used as a regular transportation vehicle. Full Story
