Save The Big Tree At Garrison School To the workers at Garrison School,
The "big tree" located on the playground of the Garrison school has for hundreds of years been a part of this community. It has provided the children with great joy. This tree has given us shade during hot weather, beautiful leaves in the autumn and a place to sit with our class to read stories. The kids here love this old oak tree! We would hate it if you cut it down. If you have not yet seen this tree, please stop by our school to enjoy it as much as we do. This tree has life just like us, so that does not give you a right to cut it down. The story that I have read many times, The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein, reminds me of how much this tree has given. So please make an effort to help save our tree!
