Haldane Board Reduces Cost Of New Elementary School By $1 Million Board plans to meet every week until the end of June
At the Haldane Board of Education workshop meeting on April 10, the board was presented with a new budget for the proposed new Elementary School. Mr. Kent Johnsson from the architectural firm EYP, supported by Mr. Giordano from the construction management firm JMOA, gave a presentation on the new school with some changes. The changes effectively reduced the cost to build a new elementary school to $12.5 million, which is less than the original estimated cost by over a million dollars. Renovation costs for the current school and the building site costs remained the same, reducing the overall project cost to $19,896,635.
