Mildred Mae Hanlon

Mildred Hanlon of College Point, NY, died Friday, June 15, 2001 at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx. She was 90.

Mildred was born in Brewster, NY in 1910, the daughter of Samuel and Sadie (Hadden) Gallagher. She had two sisters, Helen Jones who died in 1991 and Lois Sassone who died this past April, 2001.

In 1935 she married Francis W. Hanlon of Cold Spring, who predeceased her in July of 1970. They were married 35 years.

Mrs. Hanlon is survived by two daughters, Joan Priceman of College Point, NY and Janet Parkin of Connecticut, and two sons, Mark Hanlon of Stormville, NY and Norman Hanlon of College Point, NY.

She had twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Before marrying, she taught Sunday School at the Cold Spring Methodist Church and was a nurses aid at the Butterfield Memorial Hospital.

She enjoyed bowling, gardening, travel and the beach, but most of all her grandchildren. She was a wonderful Nana.

A service was held Monday the 18th at the Cold Spring Methodist Church and laid to rest at the Cold Spring Cemetery.

She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend.
