In dramatic fashion, akin to a clean-up hitter batting in the bottom of the ninth with his team down, Governor Pataki delivered the game winning home run for team conservation. There were doubters that thought Governor Pataki would not use his political clout to ensure the comprehensive clean-up plan would be approved for the PCBs in the Hudson. Those same doubters are silent today.
