Tamagna Joins Coalition To Save Hudson River Lighthouses
Lighthouses evoke a certain nostalgia for simpler times. They were built for the noble purpose of guiding mariners safely. Even the Hudson River utilized lighthouses to steer river traffic away from dangerous areas. Putnam County Legislator Vinny Tamagna wants all seven Hudson River Lighthouses saved and preserved. "There is strength in numbers", said Tamagna, "and forming a coalition will enable us to promote the idea of lighthouses as historical landmarks and as valuable tourist attractions."
