A Safe Halloween Party At The PV Library
Eighty-five Putnam Valley children, ranging from two weeks to ten years old, came in costume to celebrate Halloween at the PV Library on Tuesday, October 30th. It was, not surprisingly, a scene of constant motion. "Good Witch" children's librarian Phyllis Heidel kept the soda and punch flowing, while wide-eyed princes, princesses, devils, lions, cows, power rangers, and other characters devoured cookies and refreshments. Even some parents got into the "spirit," dressing in costume for the occasion. Most importantly, it was a safe as well as fun Halloween celebration. Many parents who had called the library earlier in the day said their youngsters' safety was paramount this year. Many more pictures of the Halloween party at the Library are posted
