Survey And Speak-Out On Bullying Reveal Pervasive Problem In Westchester And Putnam
According to a survey on bullying completed by 1,260 students from 85 different schools in Westchester and Putnam counties, 98% said that bullying occurs at their schools. That finding was revealed at the Student Advocacy Speak-out on Bullying, which took place on October 24th at the Westchester County Center. More than 300 attended the speak-out; approximately 75% were students, demonstrating the depth of concern about an issue that is too often dismissed simply as a rite of passage for children.
