Bronte Sisters Visit Garrison School For Halloween
The Bronte sisters visited the Garrison School courtyard on Halloween as eighth grade students created gravestones and wrote skits for some of their favorite authors. Elizabeth Cannon, Kennan Lorick, and Cassie Greener shared brief biographies of their characters with the younger students who experienced this spooky literary event, a joint project of English teacher Peggy Guyett and Art teacher Cynthia Forrest. Other authors depicted included J.R.R. Tolkien, Mary Shelley, Bram Stoker, Jules Verne, J.M. Barrie, Margaret Wise Brown, H.G. Wells, Edgar Allen Poe, and Shel Silverstein.
