Paddle Sports Expo - Small Boats, Big Show
The Small Boat Shop’s Annual Canoe and Kayak EXPO will be held Saturday, March 17th 9am to 6pm and Sunday, March 18th 9am to 4pm, at the National Guard Armory in Norwalk, CT. This canoe, kayak and small boat show is the largest indoor paddle show of its type in the New York/CT metro area. This show houses the best quality selection of small boats in New England.
Available for display and purchase from major manufacturers will be new models and boats: kayaks from Perception/Aquaterra, Wilderness Systems, Old Town, Current Designs, Shearwater, Ocean Kayak, Heritage, Northwest, Valley, Nigel Dennis and Great Canadian. Folding kayaks from Feathercraft and Klepper. Canoes from Old Town, Great Canadian, Wenonah, Voyageur and Coaticook will be displayed. The explosive Trimaran Sail Boat and Rave Hydrofoil from WindRider and the Escape sail boat will be available as well as sailing and rowing Dinghies from Dyer and Beacon. Alden rowing shells will also be present.
Introduced at the EXPO will be the new Compass Canoe and Kayak weighing in at 18 pounds and 21 pounds respectively. Many kayak manufacturers will have their angler models for salt and fresh water fishing on display.
Manufacturer’s representatives will be on hand to give their expert advice on their products. Show discounts will in effect on all in stock boats and accessories.
An entrance fee ($5.00) includes the chance to win a new fiberglass sea kayak valued at over two thousand dollars. Part of each admission will be donated to a Norwalk charity.
