Come One, Come All! Volunteers Needed For September 29 Haldane PTA School Fair

by Claudia Gibson

The planning stages are underway for the annual Haldane PTA School Fair, which will be held in the fall this year, on Saturday September 29, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (rain date September 30), and a call for volunteers is now going out.

As in past years, the School Fair, which includes food, games and fun for all, will be held on the Route 9D baseball fields in Cold Spring (across from the school field). Volunteers for all stages of planning and working at the fair are needed, and the PTA is extending a welcome to all School Fair veterans and newcomers alike. You do not need to have a child at Haldane to participate, just enthusiasm and effort to make this annual fundraiser a success.

Do you have a special skill like knot ting, quilting, or pumpkin carving and would like to be part of a special day for the children? Do you have a favorite recipe that everyone raves about? Can you help set up, break down, or man a booth? If you would like to somehow contribute to the success of the fair, please send a note to the Haldane PTA mailbox or call Laurie Marchese at (914) 474-5105, 265-9254 ext.113 or email MVMARCHESE@aol.com. All ideas are welcome, and no one will be turned away!

Haldane’s past PTA School Fairs have been a tremendous success due to the valuable contributions from businesses and community members, and the PTA hopes to continue this winning tradition this fall. The PTA and the school depend on community involvement, so please join in!
