Lake Peekskill Man Killed In Motorcycle Accident

Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports that on January 5th, at approximately 8:09 pm, Craig Cerosky, age 46, of Lake Peekskill, was involved in a fatal motorcycle accident on Oscawana Lake Road in the area of Cayuga Road in the Town of Putnam Valley.

Sheriff’s Deputies Arby Arnold, John Dearman, Sergeant Paul Boscia, and Investigator John Rees along with Putnam County Fire/Ambulance and Sloper Willen Paramedics responded to the scene. A preliminary investigation revealed that Mr. Cerosky lost control of his motorcycle due to the fact his kick stand was in the down position. According to the Sherrif, Mr. Cerosky ran off the road and struck a rock wall and bounced back onto the pavement and slid across the roadway,

Mr. Cerosky was transported to Hudson Valley Hospital Center suffering from multiple traumas and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
