Anna Louise Jacob

Anna Louise Jacob, 83, passed away suddenly at her daughter’s home in Cold Spring on Wednesday, January 9, 2002. She and her husband, Alvin, who predeceased her in 1998, were originally from Ridgewood, NY. They lived in Valley Stream and Baldwin, Long Island and Schroon Lake, NY. They later retired to The Cumberland Crossing Retirement Community in Carlisle, PA. After her husband’s death, she lived with her daughter in Cold Spring and Schroon Lake, NY.

Mrs. Jacob was a homemaker, seasonal postal worker and nursery school teacher before her retirement. She found pleasure in needlework, reading, her role as family matriarch and participating in the Mother Lurana Adult Social Day Care Program.

She is survived by her two daughters, Linda Milsom of Randolph, NJ and Nancy Belluscio of Cold Spring and Schroon Lake, NY. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Debbie Young of Princeton, NJ, Rev. Robert Milsom of Alpine, NJ and Schroon Lake, NY, Amy Greenplate of York, PA, Joseph Belluscio of Plattsburgh, NY and Brian Belluscio of Cold Spring, as well as four great-grandchildren.

Services were held Sunday, January 13th at the Alpine Community Methodist Church in Alpine, NJ, where her grandson is the pastor.

The Cremation Society of Pennsylvania handled the arrangements. Donations may be made to the Philipstown Ambulance Corps or Mother Lurana Adult Social Day Care Center.
