Philipstown Wrestling Club Attends Competition In Carmel
The Philipstown Wrestling Club was invited to Carmel Middle School for a match on February 9th. The twelve boys who attended came home with a 12-9 win. Christopher Marchese dominated his competition with only 3 weeks of wrestling under his belt. Jamie Kinnard and Tom Cunningham came away with victories by pinning their opponents. Daniel Kinnard won one match decisively, a great showing for a first-time wrestler. Thomas Geithner gave his all and learned a lot at his first wrestling match. Zach Slinskey lost his first match but came back and won the second. Matthew Salcedo, Kyle Norton and Will Callaway, some of the most experienced Philipstown wrestlers, won their matches handily against tough opponents. Jake Slinskey, Nicholas Pidala and Michael Impellittiere showed good progress against first-class opponents in their matches. The Philipstown Club should make good showings in the upcoming tournaments.
