Michael A. Dahlia

Michael A. Dahlia, age 85, a life-long area resident died on Wednesday May 22, 2002 at the Hudson Valley Hospital Center in Cortlandt Manor. Born in Garrison on July 1, 1916, he was the son of the late Michael and Maria (Mask) Dahlia. On September 30, 1950 in Our Lady of Loretto Church he married Gertrude Greene who survives him.

Mr. Dahlia was a tool and die maker for Chempreen in Beacon retiring in 1981. He was also a member of George A. Casey Post # 275 of the American Legion, and an avid gardener. He was a WW II Army veteran serving in the Pacific Theater.

Survivors include his wife of the home address, one brother Samuel of St. Petersburg, Fl, and several nieces and nephews. Four brothers Salvatore, Frank, Dominick, and Anthony pre-deceased him. A mass of Christian burial was offered at Our Lady of Loretto church on May 25, 2002. Interment followed in the family plot in Cold Spring cemetery.
