Police Report Carmel - Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports that the Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Enforcement Unit (NEU) arrested three teenagers on marijuana possession charges in Carmel on May 24th

At about 9:55 p.m. on May 24th, NEU members observed three people, one age 16 and two age 17, acting suspiciously while seated in a car parked in a parking lot in the Hamlet of Carmel. As the undercover officers approached the vehicle, they saw the trio of youths passing around a ceramic pipe and taking turns smoking it. Officers determined that the pipe contained marijuana. Further investigation revealed that one of the subjects was in possession of a small plastic medicine bottle containing an additional quantity of marijuana.
