Butterfield Library Offers New Services To Older Americans
The Mid-Hudson Library System Outreach Advisory Committee has awarded the Butterfield Library a $1,000 grant to assist Older Americans. The objective of this grant is to develop a collection of useful material, such as large print books and make these items readily available to senior citizens. As a result, the library has been able to set up a rotating library, conveniently located at the Friendship Center at the Cold Spring American Legion Hall on Cedar Street. Material in this collection will rotate every three months and can be checked out and returned to the rotating library site. The library hopes to continue to set-up additional rotating libraries. Anyone interested in having a rotating library added to their facility, please contact the Director. In addition to establishing rotating libraries, the library now offers homebound patrons book delivery. Those interested in participating in our home delivery should contact the library for a registration form. The library welcomes volunteers to deliver .
