Anna Smelter

Anna Smelter age 98 of Wappinger Falls, NY formerly a long-time Garrison, NY resident died on Thursday June 20, 2002 in Wappinger Falls.

Born in Verplank, NY on December 9, 1903, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Powers) Morgan.

Mrs. Smelter was a homemaker who had been a resident of Wappinger Falls for the past 31 years, and prior to that had lived most of her life in Garrison. She was a former parishioner of Our Lady of Loretto Church in Cold Spring.

She was predeceased by her husband, Bernard J. Smelter, Sr. he died in June of 1988. Mrs. Smelter is survived by, two sons, Harold Smelter of Pt. St. Lucie, FL and Bernard J. Smelter, Jr. of Garrison, NY, one daughter, Jean Sinappi of Somers, NY. 12 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren also survive. One daughter, Elaine Robinson, predeceased her.

Funeral services were held on Saturday June 22, 2002 at the Clinton Funeral Home Cor. of Parrott and Pine St. Cold Spring, NY. Interment followed in Assumption Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor, NY.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Garrison Volunteer Ambulance Corps Garrison NY 10524 or to The Friends of Karen 118 Titicus Rd. P. O. Box 190 Purdys, NY 10578-0190
