Josephine Smolinsky

Josephine "June" Smolinsky age 83 of Cold Spring, NY died on Friday August 30, 2002 at Vassar Brothers Hospital Poughkeepsie, NY.

Born in Cold Spring, NY on December 25, 1918 she was the daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Calicchio) DeCaro.

Mrs. Smolinsky was a retired floor worker for Beacon Looms in Beacon, NY. A lifelong resident of Cold Spring, she was a parishioner of Our Lady of Loretto Church in Cold Spring, a member of the Catholic Daughters of America # 789 Court Rita, and a member of the Philipstown senior citizens.

She was predeceased by her husband Stanley J. Smolinsky he died in July of 1975; survivors include her daughter Mrs. John (Marsha) Martin of Carlisle, PA, one sister, Lena Fortier of Nashua, NH, four great-grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Smolinsky was predeceased by three brothers, George, John and Louis DeCaro and by two sisters Nancy Baca and Florence Wessells.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday September 4, 2002 at Our Lady of Loretto Church in Cold Spring. Interment will follow in Cold Spring Cemetery.

Arrangement were under the direction of the Clinton Funeral Home, Cold Spring, NY.
