Marion Liuzzo, age 89 of Cold Spring, NY, died on Monday October 7, 2002 at Liberty Manor in Colorado Springs, CO.
Born in Scranton, PA on September 8, 1913 she was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Maria (Masucci) Giordano.
Mrs. Liuzzo had been a teller and bookkeeper for the Bank of Sicily in the Bronx, NY, and a bookkeeper for her families businesses in Cold Spring, Oak Tree Farms and later the Cold Spring Service Center. She had been a resident of Cold Spring for the past 60 years coming from the Bronx, NY. A Parishioner of Our Lady of Loretto Church in Cold Spring, where she also served as a Eucharistic Minister and a Lector. A member of the Philipstown Senior Citizens and of the Philipstown Garden Club.
She was predeceased by her husband Thomas Liuzzo; he died in Sept. of 1989. Mrs. Liuzzo is survived by two daughters, Carmen Amodio of Dallas, GA and MaryAnn Trifiletti of Monument, CO, one son, Thomas Liuzzo, Jr. of Saratoga, NY, one brother, Charles Giordano of Bronx, NY and one sister, Margaret Campioli of McLean, VA. Ten Grandchildren and 5 Great-grandchildren also survive. Two sisters, Rose Bizzaro and Lucy Hartnet, predeceased her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday October 11, 2002 at Our Lady of Loretto Church in Cold Spring at 10am. Interment will follow in Cold Spring Cemetery. Friends may call at the Clinton Funeral Home Cor. of Parrott and Pine St. Cold Spring, NY on Wed. from 7-9pm and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm.
